Uzbekistan and South Korea Expand Educational and Scientific Cooperation

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Deputy Minister of Digital Technologies of Uzbekistan Rustam Karimjonov held a meeting with Myoung Woo Cho, President of Inha University, focused on advancing bilateral educational and scientific cooperation.

During the talks, the parties supported the placement of assistants and staff from Tashkent-based universities in PhD programs at Inha University to enhance the qualifications of academic and teaching personnel.

Particular attention was paid to the establishment of joint laboratories and research centers in the fields of artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and logistics technologies.

In addition, the initiative to launch a joint Master of Science (MS) program in Computer Engineering was approved.

The sides also discussed opportunities to provide graduates with scholarships for Inha University’s Master of Business Administration (MBA) program and agreed to establish a joint working group to define selection mechanisms and quotas.

As part of the meeting, the parties exchanged views on the activities of the Institute for Industry-Academia Cooperation and Aerospace Industry (IIACI), exploring the phased application of advanced Korean experience in the aviation and space sectors within Uzbekistan’s educational and applied research activities.
