Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — First Deputy Minister Feruza Hamidova, together with representatives of the relevant ministry, held a meeting with Kim Chang Keon, Chairman of the Korea-Uzbekistan Business Association.

During the discussions, the Korean delegation was presented with detailed information on ongoing reforms in Uzbekistan’s mining and geological sectors.

Particular attention was given to the new Subsoil Law, which provides investors and entrepreneurs with access to subsoil plots through transparent mechanisms on the “E-auksion” platform. Current initiatives to attract investments into the sector were also highlighted.

Kim Chang Keon expressed interest in expanding the participation of South Korean companies in Uzbekistan’s mining and geological industries through the Korea-Uzbekistan Business Association.
