Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan’s Minister of Digital Technologies Sherzod Shermatov met with Kim Kyo-shin, a member of South Korea’s National Assembly and chair of its Education and Culture Committee, to discuss deeper cooperation in the information technology sector.

The meeting took place at Inha University in Tashkent and included representatives from IUT and delegations from South Korea’s Inha University.

Shermatov highlighted the rapid growth of Uzbekistan’s IT sector and said the number of South Korean tech companies operating in the country is expected to rise from eight to around 30 by the end of the year.
