Uzbekistan and South Korea Agree to Strengthen Interparliamentary Cooperation
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A meeting was held in the Senate of the Republic of Uzbekistan between Alisher Agzamkhodzhaev, Chairman of the Senate Committee on International Relations, Foreign Economic Relations, Foreign Investments, and Tourism, and Won Do Yeon, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Korea to Uzbekistan.
The discussion focused on prospects for developing interparliamentary cooperation between Uzbekistan and South Korea.
The parties exchanged views on the implementation of agreements reached during the visit of the South Korean parliamentary delegation, led by Speaker of the National Assembly Woo Won Shik, in December 2025.
Following the meeting, both sides agreed to further strengthen interparliamentary ties and to conduct parliamentary oversight to ensure the timely and effective implementation of bilateral agreements concluded at the highest level.
