Uzbekistan and Serbia Strengthen Cooperation in the Agricultural Sector
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Representatives of Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Agriculture held a meeting with a delegation from the Republic of Serbia, led by the Minister of International Economic Cooperation, Nenad Popović.
During the negotiations, both sides discussed prospects for strengthening bilateral ties in the agricultural sector and outlined new areas for cooperation. Prior to the meeting, an analysis was conducted of the current opportunities for importing and exporting agricultural products, and the need to increase mutual trade volumes was emphasized.
Special attention was given to the development of science and innovation in the agricultural sector, advanced processing of fruits and vegetables, and the expansion of digitalization within the industry.
As part of educational cooperation, the parties discussed sending students and specialists to training and exchange programs, aiming to establish a sustainable system for educational exchange and adopt advanced foreign approaches.
Following the meeting, the parties proposed joint projects in viticulture and winemaking, as well as strengthening technological collaboration and experience sharing.
An agreement was reached to elevate strategic partnership in the agricultural sector to a new level, implementing concrete plans and initiatives in mutually beneficial areas.
