Uzbekistan and Saudi Riyadh Cables Sign US$122 Million Joint Project

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A joint project worth US$122 million with Riyadh Cables Group for the production of high-voltage cable products has been signed in Tashkent.

The agreement follows a visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on October 27–28 by a delegation led by Uzbekistan’s First Deputy Prime Minister Jamshid Khodjaev.

During the negotiations, parties discussed expanding cooperation in industry, energy, electrical engineering, infrastructure, and labor migration.

The resulting agreement between Riyadh Cables Group and Artikul Azia Kabel outlines the production of 24,000 tons of high-voltage cable products annually and the creation of 340 new jobs.
