Uzbekistan and Saudi Arabia Strengthen Cultural Cooperation
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Gayane Umerova, Chairperson of the Uzbekistan Fund for the Development of Culture and Arts, met with the Minister of Culture of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Prince Badr bin Abdullah bin Muhammad bin Farhan Al Saud, to discuss ways to enhance cultural cooperation between the two countries.
During the meeting, the parties explored joint initiatives in contemporary art and biennales, projects in the creative economy and cultural tourism, as well as the organization of an Islamic heritage exhibition in Saudi Arabia.
Special attention was given to the participation of Saudi artists in the Bukhara Biennale, where the installation Al Musalla was presented.
The meeting underscored the intention of Uzbekistan and Saudi Arabia to develop cultural dialogue, implement joint projects in the fields of art and heritage, and strengthen partnerships in the creative economy while promoting UNESCO values.
