Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 2 May, a meeting of the Uzbekistan-Saudi Arabia Business Council was held in Tashkent via videoconference.

The event was attended by Shokhrukh Gulamov, Deputy Minister of Investments, Industry, and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan; Muhammad Abunayyan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of ACWA Power and Co-Chairman of the Council; as well as representatives of the business communities from both countries.

During the meeting, participants discussed expanding investment cooperation in priority sectors such as construction and modernization of transport infrastructure, tourism development, healthcare, and other areas.

Uzbekistan’s relevant authorities presented the investment conditions established in the country, alongside a portfolio of promising projects prepared based on an analysis of regional and sectoral potential, with a focus on high profitability and scalability.

Special attention was given to the implementation of projects in the field of “green” energy.
