Uzbekistan and Saudi Arabia Discuss New Agribusiness Projects

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan and Saudi Arabia have outlined new areas of cooperation in the agricultural sector.

Uzbekistan’s Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Alisher Shukurov, held a meeting with a delegation led by Abdullah Al-Muhaidib, Investment Director of Al Muhaidib Group from Saudi Arabia.

During the negotiations, the parties discussed establishing bilateral ties and implementing mutually beneficial agribusiness projects.

Particular attention was given to expanding the participation of Saudi companies in Uzbekistan’s agricultural sectors, introducing modern irrigation technologies, and developing livestock feed production and oil and fat products.

The discussions resulted in preliminary agreements on designing and practically implementing new investment initiatives.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides agreed to continue coordinating their cooperation and to prepare concrete projects and proposals, marking the beginning of a new chapter in economic partnership between Uzbekistan and Saudi Arabia.
