Uzbekistan and Saudi Arabia Discuss Cooperation on Visas and Hajj

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 23 December 2025, a delegation led by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Olimjon Abdullaev held a meeting with Khalid bin Muhammad Al-Battal, Deputy Minister of Interior of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

During the dialogue, it was noted that, thanks to the strong political will of the leaders of both countries, cooperation between Uzbekistan and Saudi Arabia continues to develop steadily, with exchanges of high-level and top-level visits becoming more active.

The Saudi side emphasized that the number of issues related to the stay of Uzbek citizens in the Kingdom is minimal and expressed deep respect and esteem for the Uzbek people.

It was also highlighted that interaction should be strengthened regarding the organization of trips to the Kingdom and visa issuance during the Hajj and Umrah seasons, in accordance with existing legislation.

The parties agreed to further develop the work of the joint commission between the ministries of interior and to implement measures jointly to ensure the rights and interests of citizens.
