Uzbekistan and Russia to cooperate in the field of metrology

The document was signed during the meeting of the head of Rosstandart Alexei Abramov with the Director-General of the Uzbek Agency for Standardization, Metrology and Certification Abdukhamid Karimov.

The document touches on the most pressing issues of cooperation in standardization and metrology, as well as the exchange of experience and information, the organization of training and assistance on international sites.

In addition, an Agreement was signed on scientific and technical cooperation between the All-Russian Scientific Research Institute of Metrological Service, subordinate to Rosstandart, and the Uzbek National Institute of Metrology of the Agency "Uzstandard".

The document assumes mutual improvement of quality management systems, development of calibration procedures and procedures. The parties agreed on the study of national standards VNIIMS and UzNIM through bilateral comparisons.

During the meeting, the sides discussed cooperation in the field of ensuring the uniformity of measurements.

In particular, the possibility of applying Russian national standards on the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan was discussed.

In addition, the topics of discussion were cooperation in the field of ensuring the uniformity of measurements: the supply of reference equipment, the provision of integrated modernization and the creation of national standards, bilateral comparisons and calibration of national standards, the development of draft regulatory documents in the field of metrology, training specialists in metrology.
