Uzbekistan and Russia Sign Memorandum on Cooperation in Competition Policy

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 22 September in Kazan, Russian Federation, the Center for Research on Competition Policy and Consumer Protection under the Antimonopoly Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan signed a memorandum of cooperation with the Training and Methodological Center of the Federal Antimonopoly Service of Russia.

Under the agreement, Russian experts will be invited to Uzbekistan to conduct specialized training programs for the Committee’s staff and its territorial divisions.

These programs will focus on developing skills to detect cartel agreements and analyze cases related to market dominance.

The initiative aims to promote international exchange of experience and elevate Uzbekistan’s national competition policy to a new qualitative level, enhancing transparency and competitiveness in the domestic market.

The document was signed by the Director of the Research Center, Otabek Jumayev, and the Director of the Training and Methodological Center of Russia’s FAS, Azat Minnakhmetov.

The memorandum will serve as a solid foundation for strategic partnership in combating cartel agreements, improving the competitive environment, and integrating national and international practices.
