Uzbekistan and Russia Review Cooperation and Outline Plans for 2026
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bakhtiyor Saidov, met with the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Russian Federation, Alexey Yerkhov, to review bilateral cooperation over the past year and identify priority areas for collaboration in 2026.
During the talks, both sides noted the steady positive development of Uzbek-Russian relations across key sectors.
In particular, they highlighted an increase in mutual trade, which grew by 11 percent over the past year.
The discussion also focused on a busy agenda of bilateral and multilateral engagements planned for the current year.
Both parties expressed readiness to further deepen their strategic partnership and implement joint initiatives in political, economic, and humanitarian spheres.
