Uzbekistan and Russia Intend to Develop Cooperation in the Field of Artificial Intelligence
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Companies from Uzbekistan and the Russian Federation have expressed interest in jointly developing and implementing advanced technologies based on artificial intelligence (AI). This was announced by Sarvar Sadullaev, Head of the Department at the Ministry of Digital Technologies of Uzbekistan, during a press conference at the international press center of Sputnik Uzbekistan.
“The two sides are interested in creating a joint working group to advance AI technologies,” Sadullaev noted, responding to a question on the prospects of cooperation with Russian IT companies.
According to him, during a recent visit of a delegation of leading Russian IT companies to Uzbekistan, domestic developments were showcased, including plans to integrate AI technologies across various sectors. Russian experts highly praised Uzbekistan’s progress, highlighting the presence of unique solutions not yet available on the Russian market.
“They emphasized that Uzbekistan already has technologies they currently lack. Therefore, the Russian side proposed not only to purchase these solutions, but also to co-develop them,” added the Ministry representative.
Earlier, in early July, the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, instructed relevant agencies to develop a national artificial intelligence model and to ensure the training of one million qualified specialists in digital technologies.
This initiative aims to accelerate the development of the digital economy and strengthen the country’s technological sovereignty.
