Uzbekistan and Russia discuss opening of Moscow State Institute of International Relations in Tashkent

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Deputy Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan Abdujabar Abduvakhitov held a meeting with the pro-rector of the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO) of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Artem Malgin, on 12 July 2018.

According to the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, the parties discussed practical issues concerning the opening of the MGIMO branch in Tashkent.

The parties discussed the directions of training in this branch, the issues of providing highly qualified specialists in the prospective spheres - international relations, business, congress and exhibition activities and tourism.

On the same day, Deputy Foreign Minister Abdujabar Abduvakhitov and Uzbek Ambassador Bakhrom Ashrafkhanov attended the closing ceremony of the two-week MGIMO educational program in the field of "International journalism, cultural diplomacy and public relations" for students of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy.

On the last day of the courses, the special representative of the President of Russia for International Cultural Cooperation Mikhail Shvydkoi and the presenter of the "Good Morning" program of the first channel Dilbar Fayziyeva addressed the audience.

At the end of the course, 28 participants successfully defended their presentations as a final certification and received MGIMO certificates.
