Uzbekistan and Russia Discuss Launch of AgroEkspress Rail Transport

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 10 November 2025, a meeting was held at JSC Uzbekistan Railways with Alevtina Kirilova, CEO of Euro-Asian Agrologistics, as part of an initiative by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, announced at the “Central Asia – Russia” summit.

The main topic of the discussions was the organization of AgroEkspress shipments along the “Central Asia – Russia” route.

The parties discussed opportunities to expand the transportation of agro-export cargoes by rail between Uzbekistan, Russia, and Kazakhstan, as well as practical steps for the launch of the AgroEkspress project.

Special attention was given to the introduction of unified preferential tariffs across the railways of the three countries and the simplification of customs and border procedures.

As a result of the meeting, the parties agreed to hold a joint trilateral meeting with Kazakhstan to review these issues in detail and coordinate further practical steps for the implementation of the project.
