Uzbekistan and Russia discuss bilateral and multilateral cooperation
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 4 November, on the sidelines of the 43rd session of the UNESCO General Conference in Samarkand, First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Bahromjon Aloev met with Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Aleksandr Pankin.
During the meeting, the parties discussed priority areas of bilateral and multilateral cooperation between Uzbekistan and Russia, paying particular attention to interaction within international and regional organizations.
The Russian diplomat highly praised the organization of the 43rd session of the UNESCO General Conference in Samarkand, noting that hosting such a representative international forum in Uzbekistan is clear evidence of the country’s growing authority on the global stage.
