Uzbekistan and Russia Development Agencies Sign 2026 Action Plan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Bahodir Rakhmatov, Director of the Agency for Strategic Development and Reforms under the President of Uzbekistan, held a meeting in Moscow with Svetlana Chupsheva, CEO of the Agency for Strategic Initiatives of Russia.

The parties noted that the agencies have established trusting and friendly relations, which continue to strengthen.

Svetlana Chupsheva congratulated the Uzbek delegation, while B. Rakhmatov expressed appreciation to the Russian side for the successful organization of the first “Open for All” forum and emphasized its social significance.

During the meeting, the results of cooperation between the agencies in 2025 were reviewed in areas such as small business, tourism, ecology, urbanization, and social policy.

Notably, Uzbekistan held its first national brand competition, “Biznikilarni Bil” (“Know Our Own”), through which ten companies received certificates to enter the Russian market. Work on developing the creative economy continued, including participation in an international conference in Saint Petersburg and the establishment of a Creative Industries Park.

Additionally, a practical action plan for 2026 was signed, covering seven key areas: development of entrepreneurship and support for local brands, including the second stage of the “Know Our Own” competition; development of small and medium-sized cities; digitalization of urban governance; creation of a joint technological cooperation model; ensuring ecological well-being and climate resilience; establishment of green belts and tree planting; and development of a business social capital standard.

The implementation of these initiatives is expected to introduce effective practices that will foster economic growth, improve the ecological situation, and enhance social conditions in both Uzbekistan and Russia.
