Uzbekistan and Romania Strengthen Interparliamentary Ties
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 18 November in Istanbul, during the annual OSCE Parliamentary Assembly session, Odiljon Mamatkarimov, Deputy Chair of the Senate Committee of Uzbekistan on International Relations, Foreign Economic Ties, Foreign Investments, and Tourism, met with Gábor Hadju, Chair of the Romania–Uzbekistan Interparliamentary Group and Vice-President of the OSCE PA.
The sides discussed the development of interparliamentary relations, exchange of legislative experience, and the intensification of trade, economic, and cultural cooperation between the two countries.
Special attention was paid to increasing mutual trade, implementing joint investment projects, and cooperation within international organizations.
The meeting concluded with an agreement to further strengthen parliamentary collaboration and to hold regular dialogues and working meetings between the legislatures of Uzbekistan and Romania.
