Uzbekistan and Romania Discuss Development of Bilateral Cooperation

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 17 November, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Muzaffar Madrahimov held talks with Daniel Cristian Cobanu, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Romania to Uzbekistan.

The parties discussed current issues on the bilateral agenda, including the development of political dialogue, expansion of trade, economic, and investment cooperation, as well as further strengthening of multifaceted relations.

Special attention was given to plans for joint work in 2026.

Following the discussions, both sides agreed to maintain an active pace of engagement across all areas. In particular, an agreement was reached to continue political and consular consultations between the relevant divisions of the Foreign Ministry, as well as to hold meetings of the Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation and the Joint Commission on International Road Transport.
