Uzbekistan and Proton Discuss New Automotive Projects
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 10 November, Uzbekistan’s Minister of Investments, Industry, and Trade, Laziz Kudratov, held a meeting with Ainol Azmil bin Abu Bakar, Vice President of the Malaysian company Proton Holdings.
During the talks, the parties discussed prospects for expanding their partnership and implementing joint projects aimed at strengthening Uzbekistan’s industrial capacity, developing the automotive sector, and creating new jobs.
Founded in 1983, Proton Holdings is Malaysia’s first national car manufacturer and one of the country’s symbols of industrial development. The company is headquartered in the state of Selangor.
