Uzbekistan and Portugal Agree to Expand Cooperation
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bakhtiyor Saidov, held an open and substantive meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Portugal, Paulo Rangel.
The parties discussed ways to qualitatively advance bilateral relations, intensify political dialogue, and expand trade, economic, and investment cooperation.
During the negotiations, an agreement was reached to launch joint projects in priority sectors, including the agro-industrial complex, infrastructure, green energy, tourism, transport, and cultural-humanitarian exchange.
As part of the meeting, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the ministries, aimed at information exchange and the study of best practices. The document establishes the framework for deepening institutional dialogue and forming effective mechanisms for cooperation between the two nations.
