Uzbekistan and Poland Strengthen Cooperation in Labor Migration
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbek diplomats held a working meeting with Urszula Langer, Deputy Chief Inspector of the State Labor Inspectorate of Poland, the Dunyo news agency reports.
During the talks, both sides discussed the protection of the rights and interests of Uzbek citizens temporarily working in Poland, measures to prevent illegal employment, and opportunities for expanding cooperation and exchanging practical experience.
Particular attention was given to improving legal protection mechanisms for compatriots, harmonizing migration legislation, and implementing the practice of concluding tripartite agreements.
The prospects for signing a bilateral agreement on migration and mobility were also discussed.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the Polish side was provided with detailed information on the migration reforms underway in Uzbekistan, including the objectives and activities of the Migration Agency. Polish representatives confirmed their readiness to develop cooperation and share experience to ensure the rights and legitimate interests of Uzbek labor migrants.
