Uzbekistan and Palau Establish Diplomatic Relations
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan and Palau have formally established diplomatic relations. The joint communiqué was signed by Uzbekistan’s Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov and Palau’s State Minister Gustav Aitaro.
“We have signed a historic document. This important step not only reflects our mutual desire to develop bilateral relations but also paves the way for promising future cooperation and partnership,” emphasized Uzbekistan’s Foreign Minister.
He also expressed hope that this development would create new opportunities for building strong and long-term ties between the two countries.
With the establishment of diplomatic relations with Palau, Uzbekistan has expanded its network of diplomatic partners to 165 countries.
Palau is an island nation in the Philippine Sea of the Pacific Ocean, associated with the United States, located approximately 800 km east of the Philippines and north of Indonesia. Its capital is Ngerulmud.
