Uzbekistan and Pakistan Discuss Investment Opportunities at Business Forum in Gujranwala
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A Uzbek-Pakistani business forum was held in Gujranwala as part of the visit of Uzbekistan’s Ambassador Alisher Tukhtaev to the region, Dunyo news agency reported.
The event brought together more than 70 entrepreneurs and company executives from Gujranwala, Gujrat, and Sialkot, representing the textile, metallurgical, leather, and woodworking industries.
Ambassador Tukhtaev briefed participants on the business climate in Uzbekistan, incentives for foreign investors, tax and customs preferences, and the country’s modern infrastructure. Special attention was given to the guaranteed support provided by the state for foreign businesses.
During the Q&A session, Pakistani entrepreneurs received detailed explanations on investment projects available for implementation across various regions of Uzbekistan.
Following the forum, both sides agreed to organize a Pakistani business mission in February 2026 and to continue regular dialogue, including online consultations and the preparation of a program for familiarization with investment projects and the establishment of joint ventures.
