Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan’s Ambassador to Pakistan, Alisher Tukhtaev, held a meeting with Pakistan’s First Deputy Minister of Industries and Production, Saif Anjum, the “Dunyo” news agency reported.
At the beginning of the talks, the Pakistani side expressed gratitude to the Government of Uzbekistan for the warm hospitality and assistance provided during the recent visit of the Pakistani delegation.
It was noted that from 15 to 19 September, a delegation led by the Special Assistant to the Prime Minister, Haroon Akhtar Khan, held a series of official meetings in Tashkent — including with the Prime Minister of Uzbekistan, the leadership of the Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade, the Central Bank, the Ministry of Mining and Geology, as well as the khokims of Surkhandarya, Samarkand, and Bukhara regions.
During the visit, the delegation familiarized itself with the activities of the innovative pharmaceutical cluster Tashkent Pharma Park, Tashkent Technopark, and the infrastructure of free economic and industrial zones in the Surkhandarya and Bukhara regions. The guests also visited textile and carpet manufacturing enterprises in Samarkand.
The meeting emphasized the importance of timely and effective implementation of the agreements and tasks defined by the leaders of the two countries in order to bring bilateral economic cooperation to a new qualitative level.
Both sides agreed to establish regular online dialogues between relevant ministries and agencies and supported the proposal for systematic coordination of joint actions within the approved “roadmap.”
In particular, monthly virtual meetings are planned to further deepen the partnership and ensure practical implementation of joint initiatives.
