Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Jamshidjon Abduzukhurov, Deputy Minister of Agriculture of Uzbekistan, held a video conference with Javad Paul, Secretary of the Ministry of Trade of Pakistan, during which they discussed ways to expand trade and economic cooperation between the two countries.

The participants noted that by the end of 2025, the bilateral trade turnover reached US$326.9 million, emphasizing the need to more effectively leverage existing opportunities to further increase trade.

Special attention was given to expanding meat product supplies. Measures were discussed to increase Pakistan’s share in the Uzbek meat market, grow export volumes, and improve logistics routes.

The parties explored the use of efficient overland transport corridors for deliveries, as well as the possibility of transporting chilled products by air.

During the talks, both sides confirmed their readiness to steadily develop agricultural trade cooperation, support mutually beneficial projects, and strengthen bilateral ties in the future.
