Uzbekistan and Oman Discuss Expansion of Investment Cooperation

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 28 November, the Minister of Investments, Industry, and Trade of Uzbekistan, Laziz Kudratov, held a working meeting with Omar Bahram, General Director of the investment company UzOman.

The parties noted the steady development of Uzbek-Omani investment cooperation and the positive dynamics of their interaction in recent years.

During the discussion, they reviewed ongoing projects involving UzOman, as well as opportunities to increase the efficiency of joint work and expand practical collaboration. It was emphasized that this cooperation creates additional conditions for launching new initiatives and attracting investments.

Special attention was given to partnership prospects in the financial sector, including an initiative to establish a new bank in Uzbekistan in cooperation with foreign partners.

Organizational issues, regulatory aspects, and the step-by-step development of the project were also discussed.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides confirmed their mutual interest in further strengthening business dialogue, expanding institutional contacts, and continuing constructive information exchange on key areas of cooperation.
