Uzbekistan and Oman Agree to Expand Partnership in Energy, Industry, and Agriculture
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Minister of Investments, Industry, and Trade of Uzbekistan, Laziz Kudratov, held a series of meetings in Muscat with representatives of key government bodies and the Omani business community.
During the visit, the Uzbek delegation held talks with the Minister of Commerce, Industry, and Investment Promotion, H.E. Qais Al Yousuf; the President of the Investment Agency, H.E. Abdulsalam Al Murshidi; the Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Water Resources, H.E. Ali Al Abri; as well as with leaders of major Omani companies, including Suhail Bahwan Group, Sohar International Bank, Oman Cables, Asyad Group, and MB Holding.
During the meetings, the Uzbek side presented ready project initiatives in the fields of petrochemicals, energy, mining, engineering, agriculture, textile and food industries, logistics, and tourism.
Special attention was paid to the practical aspects of Uzbekistan’s investment climate, including investor protection guarantees, tax and customs incentives, benefits in industrial zones, and special conditions for strategic projects.
As a result of the negotiations, agreements were reached on launching new joint projects and expanding partnerships in priority sectors.
Both sides confirmed their readiness to strengthen long-term ties between Uzbekistan and Oman, with a focus on joint investments, infrastructure development, and the diversification of trade cooperation.
