Uzbekistan and NVIDIA Reach Agreement on Cooperation in Artificial Intelligence

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — During a roundtable with executives from leading U.S. companies, investment funds, and financial institutions, the Uzbek delegation, led by First Deputy Minister of Digital Technologies Olimjon Umarov, held negotiations with Calista Redmond, Vice President of NVIDIA for Global AI Initiatives.

The discussions focused on the creation of a high-performance GPU cluster in Uzbekistan and the upskilling of local specialists. The Uzbek representatives presented ongoing projects under the country’s AI Development Strategy through 2030 and highlighted priority areas for the implementation of AI technologies.

Particular attention was given to generative artificial intelligence, large language models (LLMs), data science, high-performance computing, and AI-related infrastructure and network solutions. The parties also explored prospects for jointly developing educational programs and certification courses for professionals at various levels.

Following the talks, both sides agreed to sign a memorandum of cooperation on the implementation and development of artificial intelligence.
