Uzbekistan and Mongolia Sign Memorandum on Cooperation in Wool Processing
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan and Mongolia have agreed to jointly implement projects in wool processing.
A meeting was held at the “UzCharmsanoat” Association with a Mongolian delegation, led by representatives from the Ministry of Agriculture, during which issues of bilateral cooperation, investment project implementation, and the joint training of specialists with Uzbek enterprises were discussed.
The Mongolian side was introduced to the conditions for foreign investors in Uzbekistan, including the availability of raw materials, tax incentives, and customs privileges.
It was also confirmed that the Mongolian delegation would participate in the international exhibition “UzCharmExpo-EurAsia-2025,” scheduled for October in Tashkent.
Following the negotiations, a memorandum of cooperation was signed. According to the agreement, yarn production from Mongolian sheep wool will be organized in Uzbekistan, a raw material base will be established, and production facilities will be set up for manufacturing finished products for the “Gobi” brand and other international companies.
The agreement opens a new avenue in wool processing and the production of related products for both countries.
