Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 13 May 2025, Umid Shadiev, Chairman of the Tourism Committee of Uzbekistan, held a meeting with Batbaatar Daadankhuu, Mongolia’s Ambassador to Uzbekistan, and Monkharghal Purevjal, General Director of the Mongolian airline Hunnu Air.

During the talks, detailed information was presented about Uzbekistan’s ongoing efforts to develop its tourism industry, increase the number of both foreign and domestic tourists, and create favorable conditions for private entrepreneurs in this sector.

Special attention was given to implementing the directives and objectives set by the Head of State regarding the expansion of cooperation with Mongolia, including in the tourism sphere.

The Mongolian side highly appreciated the reforms being carried out in Uzbekistan’s tourism sector and shared their own experience in developing tourism infrastructure.

The discussion also covered expanding bilateral cooperation, including organizing direct flights between the two countries, which will contribute to increasing tourist flows and strengthening ties in tourism.
