Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A delegation led by Simon Milner, Vice President for Public Policy in the Asia-Pacific region at Meta, visited IT Park Uzbekistan to explore opportunities for deeper collaboration.

During the visit, the guests were presented with a comprehensive overview of IT Park’s operations, its thriving innovation ecosystem, upcoming projects, and investor-friendly conditions. The delegation also toured the UzSoc center, where they were briefed on efforts to ensure information security and social media monitoring.

The group then visited the UZINFOCOM center to learn about Uzbekistan’s digital infrastructure, including modern data centers and services powered by advanced technologies.

A key part of the visit was a meeting with Sherzod Shermatov, Minister of Digital Technologies of Uzbekistan. The sides discussed prospects for bilateral cooperation, content policy, youth engagement, artificial intelligence, the digital economy, and social media safety.

The meeting was hailed as a significant step toward building an open dialogue and strategic partnership between Meta and Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Digital Technologies.
