Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - Representatives of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Malaysia, the leadership of the NUR MED TRAVEL company (Uzbekistan) and the Malaysian medical holding KPJ Healthcare Berhad (KPJ) discussed issues of establishing cooperation in the field of healthcare in an online conference format, Dunyo reported.
Founded in 1981, KPJ is one of the largest and leading private medical companies in Malaysia. Today it has 26 specialized hospitals in Malaysia, and also has clinics in Indonesia, Bangladesh and Thailand. Each year, 1220 medical professionals and KPJ specialists serve about 3 million patients.
During the videoconference, KPJ representatives were informed about the establishment by Nur Med Travel of a post-acute rehabilitation center in Tashkent specializing in the treatment of patients with cardiac and neurological disorders, orthopedic complications.
The parties expressed interest in establishing partnerships in areas such as the management of rehabilitation centers and the training of personnel and relevant specialists.
KPJ management confirmed its readiness to develop cooperation in these areas, including in the field of medical tourism, by receiving and treating patients from Uzbekistan and Central Asia, as well as organizing internships and advanced training courses in the field of rehabilitation for Nur Med Travel specialists.
At the same time, it was noted that in the future, KPJ is ready to consider the possibility of opening a joint clinic or managing a medical institution in Uzbekistan with Uzbek partners.
