Uzbekistan and Malaysia Discuss Cooperation in Social Protection and Digitalization of Services
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Within the framework of the III International Forum “From Poverty to Prosperity,” Jamshid Abryuev, Deputy Director of the National Social Protection Agency, held a meeting with a delegation led by Sharifuddin bin Shahar Shah, Deputy Director of the Office for Project Coordination under the Prime Minister’s Office of Malaysia.
The parties emphasized the importance of strengthening bilateral cooperation based on mutual trust and respect. Jamshid Abryuev outlined the Agency’s priority areas, including the digitalization of social services and increasing their targeting, effective use of modern databases to identify low-income families (modeled after Malaysia’s eKasih system), implementation of a social support effectiveness assessment system, and the organization of joint seminars and training programs for specialists.
The discussion also covered prospects for implementing joint projects aimed at developing digital platforms for tracking needy families, introducing transparent criteria for identifying low-income households, exchanging best practices in targeted assistance, and organizing joint educational programs for professionals.
