Uzbekistan and Luxembourg signed a protocol on air traffic
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan and Luxembourg signed a protocol on air traffic on 6 March 2019.
The document was signed during the visit of the delegation headed by the Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg Jean Asselborn to Uzbekistan.
The document will contribute to the legal ordering of cargo, passenger and charter flights between the two countries.
The protocol will allow Luxembourg Cargolux to carry out transit cargo transportation to Asian countries from 2020 through the international intermodal logistics center Navoi.
The delegation held a meeting at the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Welcoming guests, First Deputy Transport Minister Ilkhom Makhkamov spoke about the ongoing reforms in our country to develop the transport and logistics sector in Central Asia, as well as about the activities, structure, goals and objectives of the ministry.
The sides discussed issues of cooperation in the areas of transport, logistics and transit, which is in the mutual interests of Uzbekistan and Luxembourg.
Following the talks, the parties agreed to develop cooperation projects in this area.
