Uzbekistan and Lithuania Discuss Cooperation in the Sphere of Labor Migration

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 12 November, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Olimjon Abdullaev held a meeting with Lithuania’s Ambassador to Uzbekistan, Egidijus Navikas, who is based in Astana.

The talks focused on bilateral cooperation in the area of labor migration, including expediting the signing of intergovernmental agreements, organizing consular consultations, and taking measures to counter illegal migration and radicalization.

Both sides reaffirmed their mutual interest in maintaining an ongoing dialogue and agreed on joint steps to strengthen cooperation between the two countries.
