The meeting, which ended on 12 December 2017, was held on the eve of President Sooronbai Jeenbekov’s official visit to Uzbekistan.
The delegations of the two countries continued their work on description of the passage of the line of the Uzbek-Kyrgyz border to the sites, which were not included in the Agreement on the Uzbek-Kyrgyz state border from 5 September 2017.
The agreement on the Uzbek-Kyrgyz state border was signed during the visit of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Kyrgyzstan.
The agreement envisages approval of the description of the passage of the 1170.53 km line of the Uzbek-Kyrgyz State border and cartographic materials of the delimitation of the Uzbek-Kyrgyz State border, as well as electronic (raster) cartographic materials.
According to the document, the parties will continue negotiations to resolve the issues of passing the state border line on the remaining sections and prepare an appropriate agreement.
