Uzbekistan and Kuwait Discuss Development of Infrastructure PPP Projects
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 8 October 2025, Raad Kutbildin Al Abdulloh, Head of the Investment Committee and Deputy Chairman of the Board of Combined Group Contracting Company (CGC, Kuwait), met with Ilhomjon Umrzakov, Deputy Minister of Economy and Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The meeting was also attended by CGC manager Rami Samir, Abdulkodir Yakubov, Deputy Director of the Public-Private Partnership Development Department at the Ministry of Economy and Finance, and other responsible officials.
During the discussions, both sides explored opportunities for implementing public-private partnership (PPP) projects in Uzbekistan, including major infrastructure initiatives in recent years in the energy and road development sectors.
Particular attention was given to international cooperation within PPP frameworks, strengthening economic ties with Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, sharing CGC’s experience in executing large-scale infrastructure projects, and the company’s potential participation in future PPP initiatives.
As a result of the talks, the parties agreed to continue developing bilateral cooperation, jointly review promising PPP projects, and maintain ongoing practical contacts.
For reference, Combined Group Contracting Company (CGC) is one of Kuwait’s largest companies in infrastructure and industrial construction, established in 1965. It is a publicly listed company on the Kuwait Stock Exchange, specializing in transport and road infrastructure, oil and gas pipelines, energy, and industrial facilities. CGC has successfully implemented projects in Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, and other GCC countries.
