Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan Expand Railway Cooperation

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — As part of the presidential mandate to reform JSC Uzbekistan Railways, the company, under the leadership of Chairman Zufar Narzullaev, continues to actively strengthen cooperation with the railway operators of neighboring countries.

During today’s meeting with a delegation led by Bauyrzhan Urinbasarov, Director of Production at Kazakhstan Temir Zholy, both sides highlighted the successful progress of bilateral collaboration. The parties discussed ways to further deepen cooperation and increase the number of freight and passenger trains.

Special emphasis was placed on the Ok Kuprik station, where three new railway tracks have been constructed, significantly expanding its throughput capacity.

Following the talks, the parties signed documents aimed at enhancing bilateral cooperation, increasing the volume of incoming and outgoing freight trains, and creating additional conveniences for customers.
