Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan Discuss Expansion of Bilateral Cooperation in Industry and Agro-Industry
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A meeting took place at the Ministry of Investments, Industry, and Trade of Uzbekistan between Deputy Minister Khurram Teshabayev and Kazakhstan’s Vice Minister of Trade and Integration Aidar Abildabekov.
During the talks, the parties discussed key issues related to expanding bilateral cooperation, including projects in the electrical and textile industries, mechanical engineering, infrastructure construction, pharmaceuticals, and the agro-industrial sector.
It was noted that from January to August 2025, trade turnover between the two countries increased by 15%, exceeding three billion US dollars.
The participants also reviewed the implementation of existing agreements and discussed measures to increase trade turnover between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan to ten billion dollars.
Special attention was given to preparations for the upcoming meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission.
