Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan Discuss Expanding Cooperation in the Space Sector

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Uzbekcosmos (Uzbek Space) Agency held a working meeting with the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Uzbekistan to discuss prospects for bilateral cooperation in the space sector.

The discussion focused on strengthening collaboration between Uzbekcosmos and the Committee for Aerospace Research under the Ministry of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Development of Kazakhstan.

The parties reviewed ongoing projects and outlined avenues for expanding joint initiatives, including space education, specialist training, and the development of tourism at the Baikonur Cosmodrome.

The agency’s delegation received an official invitation to participate in Space Days Kazakhstan, scheduled for September 7–9 in Astana, which will provide additional opportunities for experience exchange and showcasing achievements of both countries in the aerospace industry.

During the meeting, both sides emphasized the importance of reinforcing strategic partnership and jointly developing innovative projects aimed at enhancing scientific potential and practical applications of space technologies for the benefit of both nations.
