Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan Agree to Expand Tourism Cooperation
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Chairman of the Uzbekistan Tourism Committee, Umid Shadiev, held a meeting with Nurlan Kusherov, Akim of Kazakhstan’s Turkestan Region.
During the talks, the parties discussed expanding tourism cooperation between the two countries, developing joint travel routes, implementing investment projects in the tourism sector, and promoting cultural and gastronomic tourism.
Special attention was given to sharing experiences in developing tourism infrastructure, training personnel, and implementing innovative solutions for managing tourist flows.
As part of the visit, the Turkestan Region delegation participated in B2B meetings and presentations involving representatives of travel companies, the hotel industry, and entrepreneurs from both countries. Participants were introduced to Kazakhstan’s and Turkestan Region’s tourism potential, as well as prospects for joint efforts to attract international tourists.
At the conclusion of the negotiations, both sides expressed their readiness to continue constructive dialogue and implement specific joint initiatives in the tourism sector.
