Uzbekistan and Jordan Discuss Expanding Cooperation in the Textile Industry
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Representatives of the Ministry of Investments, Industry, and Trade of Uzbekistan participated in a forum held in Amman, focused on strengthening cooperation between Uzbekistan and Jordan in the textile and garment industries.
The event brought together over 30 leading companies from both countries, as well as representatives of government bodies and business associations.
Opening remarks were delivered by Sanal Kumar, Chairman of the Jordanian Association of Apparel and Textile Manufacturers, Dr. Hazem Rakahleh, CEO of the Jordanian Chamber of Industry, and members of the Uzbek delegation.
During the forum, a presentation on Uzbekistan’s investment attractiveness highlighted the country’s prospects and competitive advantages in the textile sector.
The Jordanian side, in turn, provided an overview of the national industrial sector, including the leather and textile segments, emphasizing their sustainable development and high export potential.
B2B sessions were held during the forum, allowing companies to discuss prospects for direct cooperation, alongside negotiations with key Jordanian government institutions, including the Ministry of Investments, the Ministry of Industry, Trade, and Supply, and the country’s Banking Association.
