Uzbekistan and John Deere Strengthen Agricultural Cooperation

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan’s Minister of Agriculture, Ibrokhim Abdurakhmonov, met with Peter Zakse, Vice President of John Deere for the CIS countries, to discuss expanding bilateral cooperation in the agricultural sector.

The discussion focused on developing effective and sustainable financing mechanisms for ongoing and future projects, including opportunities to attract funding from international financial institutions, leading banks, and investment funds. Parties also explored mutually beneficial solutions to advance joint initiatives.

The meeting addressed the adoption of modern agricultural machinery and innovative technologies, the efficient use of these solutions, and the development of local expertise. Special emphasis was placed on knowledge exchange to enhance the practical impact of joint projects.

The parties agreed to implement the projects sequentially, ensuring practical application of the agreed initiatives in Uzbekistan’s agricultural sector.
