Uzbekistan and John Deere Discuss Agriculture Modernization
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 24 March, Uzbekistan’s Minister of Investments, Industry and Trade, Laziz Kudratov, met with a delegation from the American corporation John Deere, led by Peter Sax, Vice President for the CIS region.
The discussions focused on modernizing the national agro-industrial complex and introducing advanced technologies into agriculture.
Key topics included the supply of modern agricultural machinery, development of service infrastructure, and integration of digital solutions.
The parties also explored opportunities for collaboration with specialized educational and research institutions, as well as prospects for localizing production and attracting direct investment in Uzbekistan.
Following the talks, both sides confirmed their mutual interest in long-term cooperation. Participants expressed readiness to continue constructive dialogue to implement joint projects aimed at improving the efficiency and environmental sustainability of Uzbekistan’s agricultural sector.
