Uzbekistan and Japan Discuss IT Outsourcing, Education, and the Digital Economy

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Tashkent hosted the Uzbekistan–Japan Forum on Information and Communication Technologies.

The event brought together representatives of government agencies, business circles, international organizations, and leading universities from both countries.

The forum’s key themes included the development of IT outsourcing from Uzbekistan to Japan, the training of qualified personnel, joint educational initiatives, and prospects for cooperation in the digital economy.

Representatives of prominent Japanese organizations such as METI, JETRO, Toyota Tsusho, Japan Digital University, and others highlighted Uzbekistan’s strong tradition in mathematics, its experience in teaching foreign languages, and extensive government support, recognizing the country as a strategic partner for Japanese business.

Special attention was given to projects aimed at establishing BPO centers in Tashkent, developing an educational hub, and launching new ICT investment initiatives.

The forum reaffirmed that Uzbekistan is steadily emerging as an important hub for global IT outsourcing and the training of world-class specialists.
