Uzbekistan and Japan discuss cooperation in transport and aviation sectors

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan’s Minister of Transport, Ilhom Makhkamov, held talks with Masakuzu Hashimoto, Chief Operating Officer of Sojitz Corporation.

The sides discussed opportunities for involving Japan’s advanced expertise and financial institutions in prospective transport projects across Uzbekistan, as well as cooperation in training qualified specialists for the sector.

The meeting concluded with agreement on further steps to expand collaboration, including plans for the modernization and development of the country’s aviation infrastructure.
