Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Negotiations were held in the form of a video conference between the deputy governor of Khorezm region Sh. Tulyaganov, vice president of the CIS region of the Israeli company “LR Group” Mark Veltman and the leading specialist in oncological projects of this company Avi Ashman, Dunyo reported.
The event was also attended by representatives of the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade, the Ministry of Health, the Agency for the Development of Public-Private Partnership under the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
It should be noted that the LR Group specializes in the development, financing, construction of large-scale integrated projects in Israel and abroad and their management in the fields of agriculture, medicine, energy, infrastructure construction and other areas. The company has experience in successfully creating LISOD - the first modern cancer hospital in Ukraine.
During the videoconference, issues of implementing a joint investment project on the construction of a modern world-class cancer center in Khorezm region with advanced technological equipment and highly qualified personnel, including from Israel, were discussed.
Veltman spoke about the company’s experience in implementing large-scale projects of various directions in many countries of the world, including Ukraine and Kazakhstan in the fields of medicine, agriculture and others. He also announced the company’s interest in implementing projects in these areas in Uzbekistan, negotiations over the past two years with the leadership of the relevant ministries of the republic, as well as prepared and submitted project proposals to the relevant departments of our country.
Sh. Tulyaganov, in turn, emphasizing the best practices of Israel in the fields of medicine and agriculture, expressed Uzbekistan’s interest in implementing joint projects with the Israeli side in these areas.
According to the Ministry of Health of Uzbekistan, Khorezm region ranks second in the number of cancer patients in the republic.
The parties also discussed ways, formats and mechanisms for implementing mutually beneficial investment projects, including through public-private partnerships.
As a result of the videoconference, an agreement was reached to continue cooperation by organizing additional negotiations and exchanging information. The Israeli side expressed its readiness to study the potential of this region of Uzbekistan and the prospects for implementing a joint project in the aforementioned area.
