Uzbekistan and Iran to Boost Joint Industrial Projects
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Jamshid Khodjaev held a working meeting with Mohammad Atabak, Minister of Industry, Mines, and Trade of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
During the discussions, the parties explored prospects for expanding trade, economic, and investment cooperation, as well as implementing joint projects in priority sectors of the economy. Special attention was paid to cooperation in metallurgy and transportation, along with mechanisms to stimulate joint production.
Currently, more than 220 enterprises with Iranian capital are successfully operating in Uzbekistan, implementing projects in industrial and infrastructure sectors.
Both sides expressed readiness to further strengthen economic partnership and intensify collaborative efforts on promising initiatives.
